Dragonfly Update

I wanted to give everyone a quick update on the progress of Dragonfly. This past week I have completed the first draft of Snowscapes, which is the first section that I began work on at the start of the project. Currently it is around 17 pages in length containing a total of 26 images. At the start of this project, I had a general idea of how long I wanted each section to be but thought that I would let Snowscapes kind of define and set that standard as I worked through it. As I am still in the winter season here in Iowa I will continue to shoot with the possibility of adding, or swapping out, photos from this section but for the most part I am please with how it came out. If I come across anything that I feel fit the section better, or better illustrate the story that Iā€™m trying to tell, then that adjustment will be made; though as I said before, I am please with its current fit and form.

Attached to this thread are a few screenshots from my canvas in photoshop to give everyone a look into the project and some validation of its progress. I hope to continue posting content as I hit milestones throughout the project. In the coming weeks I plan on having a test print ran on the section, so I can see how everything looks on paper. Depending on the results I am hoping to post a two-page sneak peak into the section for those who are interested.

As always please feel free to comment on this blog with any questions or advice you might have as I work through this project. I would appreciate any and all input from the photography community as I venture through my first photobook.

As always, thank you for your support. - Chase
